전북청년 2018 展은 공모를 통해 선정된 미술가들의 기획전이다. 올해는 36명 지원자 중에서 외부전문가들의 심사로 3명을 선발했다.

키네틱적인 디오라마 세트에서 놀이로 소통하는 김성수, 시사성이 강한 사건에 주목하면서 관계성을 제시하는 이승희, 동시대의 소비 이미지들을 키치적인 어법으로 표현한 지현이다.

이들은 인도네시아 족자카르타의 현대미술과 전북현대미술이 교류 연대하는 변방의 파토스(Pathos of the Fringes), 중국 베이징 쑹좡(宋莊)의 국중미술관 초대전, PLUS, 合 展에도 초대출품한다.

전북도립미술관은 선발한 미술가들을 집중 조명하고 그들의 창작역량과 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해 미술평론가 1:1 매칭, 제작비 지원, 창작스튜디오 입주, 레지던시 파견, 아시아 등 국제적인 활동을 다각적으로 지원하고 있다.

  \Selected Young JEONBUK Artists 2018\ exhibits artworks by those artists selected from a contest. By the screening of external experts, three artists were selected from thirty-six applicants. Kim Sung soo attempted communication through kinetic diorama settings and game. Lee Seung hee attempted conversation about formation of relationship focusing on strong current issue. Ji hyun expressed contemporary consumed images in the way of kitsch paintings.

Their artworks are also invited to \Pathos of the Fringes\ in which contemporary art of Yogyakarta, Indonesia and Jeonbuk communicate and build up solidarity,\Guozhong Art Museum Invitation Exhibit\ and \PLUS, Integration\ in Song Zhuang art district of Beijing, China.

In order to give focused illumination to selected artists and strengthen their creative capability and competence, Jeonbuk Museum of Art is providing one-to-one art critic matching, production cost, art residency, residency dispatch and international activities such as Asia.
